Ceremony

The Mill Room is a unique setting for your Civil Ceremony for up to 95 guests. The original 17th Century Mill workings are illuminated behind glass, to create a stunning back drop for your exchange of vows. The seating layout enables some of your wedding guests to sit facing you during the ceremony if you should wish. For larger wedding parties the beautiful contemporary Watermill Barn is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. You may also wish to consider a bespoke, highly personalised Celebrant-led wedding ceremony or blessing. With no restrictions on licensed areas your ceremony can be held in both The Mill Room, Watermill Barn or outside in the beautiful landscaped gardens of Coltsford Mill.

Wedding breakfast

The Watermill Barn is an oak-framed barn that can accommodate up to 150 guests for a sit down meal. With a whole host of dining options, you can discuss with the team your ideal culinary experience. From BBQs and afternoon teas, anything is possible. Panoramic windows and doors overlook the tranquil gardens and cascades allowing natural light to flood in. Central heating, air-conditioning and an abundance of natural light make it the perfect venue for wedding receptions in any season. Your guests can enjoy your drinks reception on our fully covered terrace area overlooking the ornamental gardens and water features whilst your photographer captures all your memories throughout the day and evening.

Evening reception

Once you've finished your wedding breakfast, it's on to the evening celebrations. The Watermill Barn provides the perfect setting to dance the night away. With views overlooking the illuminated waterfall and cascades, your evening will be far from a washout! The fully licensed bar area will keep the drinks flowing, the dance floor ready and waiting for you to show off your moves, whilst there is also comfortable seating for guests who'd rather watch from the side lines. The terrace is all yours, a perfect spot to catch a breath whilst looking across the Eden Valley. The night time garden comes alive with twinkling lights, creating an alfresco haven.

Accommodation

The Bridal Cottage

The Bridal Cottage is your home-from-home on the day and evening of your wedding and provides overnight accommodation for the newlyweds. The spacious country cottage has a lounge, kitchen and master bedroom with en-suite Shower room. Plenty of space for your bridal party to relax and enjoy the morning before your ceremony. Upstairs under the eaves, there is a large dressing room for your make-up artist and hairdresser to prepare you and your bridesmaids for your special day!
