About

Originally part of the old quarry, Ocean Kave is a purpose build exclusive wedding venue. It was excavated by local masons to create the wonderfully unique, isolated facility that it is today. Since the first Ocean Kave wedding in 2013, the venue and weddings team have won an array of awards, including Wedding Events Team of the Year and Best Countryside Wedding Venue in the Southwest of England two consecutive years running. The onsite accommodation also boasts an array of awards including Gold Winner of the Southwest Tourism Awards for best self-catering in the South West.

Facilities

The facilities at Ocean Kave have been created to cater for every couple, making each wedding special, exclusive and unique. The venue offers ceremony only weddings for up to 60 guests, Small Intimate Weddings, and Receptions for up to 30 guests and Elopement Weddings for couples and up to 6 guests.

The Rustic Barn

After taking your vows, this rustic barn is the perfect location for wedding breakfasts for small, intimate weddings. Adorned with fairy lights and rustic styling, this authentic wooden barn conversion is an idyllic setting to celebrate with your loved ones for your reception and into the evening.

There is a generous amount of outdoor space that can be used creatively. Make the most of a clifftop gazebo and add your own props, games and decorations. You are even welcome to bring in an ice cream truck or sweet cart.

Catering

The staff at Ocean Kave appreciate the importance of a flawless and delicious wedding breakfast. The head chef and his team take meticulous care in your meal, from coming up with a menu to serving you at the table.

You will have a chance to discuss your wedding menu to create something wonderful and bespoke, making the most of the excellent quality local produce available, from Exmoor to the Atlantic. Let the team know of any special requirements, allergies and favourite foods to fine tune a perfect menu. If you aren't interested in a sit-down meal, you could have an evening buffet instead, or in the summer months a delicious locally sourced BBQ.

Accommodation

The Ocean Kave Elopement and Small Intimate Wedding packages include 2 complimentary nights' accommodation. Within the grounds of the venue are fourteen luxury holiday cottages operated by Westward Living. These gorgeous self-catering cottages each sleep between two to eight people. Each cottage has its own individual charm and will suit different needs, including family cottages, accessible cottages and dog-friendly cottages. On top of this, some have hot tubs, other spa baths, and some even have a wood-burning stove for that extra spark of romance

A two's stay in the Bridal Suite is included in most packages, or you can choose to upgrade to a different apartment to better suit your needs. And, as nearby Westward Ho! is such a beautiful and sought-after beach, there is further accommodation there for other guests if needed.
