Tucked away within 23 acres of countryside, the secluded and romantic Old Brook Barn is located in the village of Navestock, Essex. The grounds showcase a natural brook with a decking area, plus lush meadows and gorgeous willow trees - an ideal backdrop for your wedding photos. The timberclad barn itself is equally picturesque and as the venue is going to be exclusively yours for the entirety of your wedding day, you and your guests will feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The family-run, boutique wedding venue offers you the choice to host your civil ceremony either inside the barn or outside in their beautiful secret garden under a fabulous painted Gazebo. The barn can accommodate lavish receptions; the traditional architecture of the building, which dates back in part to the 17th century, is perfectly intertwined with tasteful modern decoration and contemporary facilities to provide a simply stunning setting.
Originally a working estate, Brook Farm has been owned and operated by the Forkes family since 1997. The farmhouse was built in the 16th century and parts of Old Brook Barn date back to the 17th. The Forkes family have put a great amount of care into lovingly restoring the barn and its grounds, so it functions flawlessly as a wedding venue yet retains elements of its past.
Hosting up to 150 guests, this outdoor civil ceremony-licensed area is perfect for romantic weddings in the warmer seasons.

The barn accommodates over 100 seated guests with a further 120 upstairs in the minstrels' gallery. Receptions are also held in the barn itself which can hold over 150 guests. Couples who are using the barn for their wedding are invited to set up on the day before, and are welcome to decorate however they please.

Old Brook Barn uses the culinary services of either Limeberry or Stock and Bailey, two of the finest caterers in the South-East of England. Specialising in creative bespoke cuisine, using only top-quality ingredients, locally sourcing seasonal produce, you will receive the highest standard of food and service from them.
The barn also has a fully-licensed bar offering drinks packages that can be purchased as an allowance for each guest. But for something a little more unusual, why not try the pink lemonade dispenser - guests of all ages can enjoy a glass of this delicious fruity summer beverage during a toast or at a drinks reception!
A wonderful little honeymoon cottage is available for newlyweds. This self-catering bridal accommodation is equipped with kitchen and bathroom, lounge and bedroom and is next to the farmhouse. Perfect for the newlyweds on their wedding night, the cottage can also be used for the bride to get ready on the morning of her wedding.
