History

Built in the 17th century, Orsett Hall has been passed through generation to generation, playing host to many royal banquets. In 2007 a devastating fire meant this beautiful house was severely damaged. Through sheer love and determination the house was restored as close to its original structure in 2008, to become the magnificent building you see today.

A few years later in 2011 the Chapel was restored to reveal the most idyllic location for couples to say their vows.

The Chapel

Licensed for civil ceremonies and religious and non-religious services, the Chapel is hidden away in a quiet haven within the grounds of Orsett Hall. Walk into your very own Essex love story as the Chapel arguably creates one of the most beautiful settings to say your vows. White exposed beams, tumbling white flowers with green foliage, a viewing balcony and traditional wooden pew seating for your guests, this unique chapel encapsulates the true essence of romance.

The Gazebo

Why not get married al fresco in the grounds of Orsett Hall? This idyllic white gazebo is draped in white organza linen entwined with fairy lights. Surrounded by sculpted evergreen hedges and plush green grass, it is plain to see why couples love the idea of getting married outdoors.

The Gold Room

Draped with glamorous fabric and lit by jewelled chandeliers, this room has the wow factor.

The Pavilion

The largest of all the suites, the Pavilion is 575 square metres and can seat up to 520 guests for a wedding breakfast. Unusually the suite is also home to a koi carp pond complete with scenic bridge.

The Jaguar Bar

A contemporary space complete with wooden floors, an atmospheric colour palette and a mirrored ceiling.

The Whitmore Suite

Decadence and opulence are in abundance within this suite. Vintage grey tones provide an elegant yet warm backdrop to your wedding celebrations.

Catering

With a very flexible in-house catering team, your wedding menu can be designed around you. The team are highly experienced and work seamlessly to create your culinary vision. The wedding menu is included as part of Orsett Halls' packages; including canapes, wedding breakfast and evening nibbles.

Orsett Hall understands that some couples may wish to use their own caterers which can be achieved when taking dry hire of the venue and kitchens.

Accommodation

With plenty of individual luxury bedrooms onsite, Orsett Hall is able to accommodate your entire wedding party. Bedrooms have been classified as Superior, Executive, Suites and Lodges and can house guests the night prior and the wedding night. There is a choice of beautifully appointed bridal suites for the bride and groom on the night of the wedding.

Depending on the package you chose you may have accommodation included.
