As the oldest part of the Abbey, the Gatehouse was built in 1380 and could hardly be a more fitting entrance to the grand venue. The abbey itself was once an Augustinian monastery which has been brought back to life after Henry VIII had it demolished. It is now a beautifully decorated and romantic venue fit for an exceptional wedding. With a barn for your wedding breakfast and reception, accommodation and stunning grounds you are spoilt for space.
You can host your wedding ceremony in a beautiful medieval room accessed by an antique stone staircase - perfect for a regal entrance to your ceremony. Adorned with beams, tapestries and grand stone windows this is a truly magical room.

Pentney Abbey offers a beautiful bridal suite to relax in after your wedding celebrations which is tastefully decorated, encompassing a four-poster bed and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Pentney Abbey is such a great venue! Jaymi, Rachael and all the staff made our day as enjoyable and as relaxed as it could be. The stunning gatehouse was a perfect setting for our winter wedding. Nothing was too much hassle. Thank you again for everyone's hard work to make our day perfect.
