Racks Bar and Kitchen, converted from a vintage wine cellar, is a stunningly unique reception-only venue located just off Whiteladies Road in Bristol, within easy reach of the city centre. This fantastic venue offers a spacious reception room, a separate playroom with private bar and a heated terrace.

Add to this some fantastic accommodation located above the venue and the capacity for up to 150 guests for a vibrant evening reception. About

Racks Bar and Kitchen is a venue for all seasons. Enjoy the large open terrace during the hot summer months with relaxed drinks, BBQs and hog roasts, and then when the days shorten and the cold sets in, the terrace is transformed into an enclosed winter wonderland with heaters all round. When you take the party inside there are sofas awaiting you within their hidden alcoves, meaning you can celebrate among family and friends in comfort.

Catering

The venue is home to many talented chefs who have created a number of different wedding menus such as barbecues, carveries and formal wedding breakfasts, so Racks can cater for all appetites and diets. Also, a next day option is available which allows guests and relatives to return for a delicious breakfast or lunch for further celebrations the day after.

Accommodation

Not only can all wedding needs be met, accommodation is also just a flight of stairs away. The impressive Clifton Hotel, situated just above the venue, works closely with Racks to provide a comfortable and refreshing night's rest, both for newlyweds and for their guests.

    We had our wedding reception at Racks on 16.4.16 - and it was just wonderful from start to finish. Elizabeth from 'Elizabeth Weddings' decorated the entrance and main rooms and she did a fantastic job, it all looked wonderful. The food was just amazing, and the staff were completely brilliant from the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly left in the small hours! A great venue, it allowed everyone to spend time chatting and catching up on news - we had family from all over the place attending. The breakout rooms were perfect for this. The Playroom was just great for the band, 'Love Potion Number 1' - lots of space to dance - it couldn't have been any better! Thank you so much to Julia and the team who made our day so perfect.

    We just wanted to write and thank you for all your help and hard work making our day so incredible. Thank you, in particular for your help putting out our (rather complicated!) decorations. It made the place look fantastic and we couldn't have been more happy. Our family and friends have kept telling us how much they enjoyed the day and the venue. The staff were so friendly and welcoming! Thank you once again, we'll drop back in sometime soon to say hi after honeymoon!
