History
Taunton school was founded in 1847 and still retains lots of its 19th century gothic style buildings. Set within 50 acres of beautifully maintained lawns and gardens, this venue perfectly blends the ancient architecture with some more modern contemporary spaces from the 20th century.

The Old Library
This large room is wood-panelled and is the perfect space for formal wedding receptions and informal celebrations alike. The room is also licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 140 guests. Once combined with the Arts Centre Foyer this area can accommodate up to a whopping 450 wedding guests.
The Winterstoke Room and The Meeting Room
Located next to the Old Library, these delightful rooms are full of character and charm. Both of the rooms are licensed for intimate civil ceremonies, or alternatively work well as an evening buffet service for the Old Library.
The Chapel
Dating back to 1907 this large chapel comfortably seats 300 guests in Collegiate style pews. Perfect for a Christian wedding or a marriage blessing, The Chapel offers a dramatic and classical setting to say "I do".
The Upper Dining Room
This purpose-built banqueting area is the ideal location for a formal wedding reception. The stained-glass windows and views out onto the front lawns create a wonderful ambience. The room can accommodate 160 guests comfortably seated. The Upper Dining Room is also licensed for civil ceremonies.
The Arts Centre Foyer
This light and airy reception room adjoins to the Old Library and is the perfect location for your drink's reception and evening bar.
