You can say your vows aboard the magnificent and romantic Victorian sloop, HMS Gannet, before celebrating your day in the variety of different spaces this maritime venue has to offer. The Commissioner's House, Britain's oldest naval building, is an elegant Georgian-style house with a choice of stylish rooms to suit all party themes and sizes. The surrounding Commissioner's Garden provides the perfect setting for drinks receptions and photographs.

The spectacular and breath taking architecture, teamed with the modern facilities, lends itself to catering to weddings. Facilities

The Sunne Room

With breath-taking views over the landscaped Commissioner's Garden and a balcony perfect for your bouquet toss, this beautiful Georgian room is a wonderful inside ceremony space. The Sunne Room is suitable for ceremonies seating around 70 guests.

The Ballroom

Located on the ground floor of the Commissioner's House, the Ballroom is wonderfully light and airy and has doors leading out onto the patio, ideal for a warm day. The Ballroom is perfect for ceremonies seating around 70 guests.

HMS Gannet

Are you looking for a unique setting to exchange your wedding vows? Look no further than HMS Gannet, which is a beautiful Victorian sloop. The Captain's Cabin can seat up to 40 guests for intimate ceremonies, or up to 100 guests on the main deck. After your ceremony, enjoy drinks onboard before making your way to Commissioner's House to enjoy the rest of your day.

The Patio

The Patio makes for an idyllic summer wedding setting. Licensed for civil ceremonies, you can say your vows in front of 80 guests, or alternatively the patio also lends itself to hosting drinks receptions, making the most of its unbeatable location and sun-drenched space.

Eat, drink and be merry

There are two recommended caterers to choose from. So, whether you're looking for a formal sit down wedding breakfast, or something more relaxed like grazing boards and nibbles, the team have you culinary requirements covered. There is also the option to host a BBQ or hog roast on the patio.
