History
Valentines Mansion is steeped in history that characterises the building with delightful architectural detail. At the time it was built, in 1696, the house was surrounded by open countryside and was many miles from the outskirts of the city of London. A city merchant bought the house in the 1720s and added the enchanting walled gardens, as well as the dovecote and grottoes. Redbridge council purchased the house and gardens in 1912 and have used it to house wartime refugees, as a hospital, and have now fully restored it to a beautiful venue for weddings.
