Designed by the architect Sir George Oatley, creator of many distinguished buildings in and around Bristol, Coombe Lodge was originally built between 1928 and 1932, and became home to the notable Wills family for the next 30 years. The care and imagination taken to prepare Coombe Lodge's menus is paramount - the credit for this lies with their team of skilled chefs who take delight in creating a tempting selection of delicious menus with mouth-watering dishes. After your ceremony is over, enjoy some celebratory drinks and a delicious selection of canapés, choosing from an array of meat, fish and vegetarian options. A unique idea for the wedding breakfast is the Valencienne Menu, in which each course will be served as a banquet to the table on platters, allowing your guests to help themselves to dishes you have chosen. We were so moved by the way the team dressed the venue with all of our personal touches and guests were absolutely blown away by the venue, setting, food, the rooms and standard of service. It was a first-class wedding with a truly Italian vibe which exceeded all of our expectations.
We really didn't expect the breakfast setting that we were greeted to the next morning! It was like an extension of our wedding breakfast and even the photograph of Jo's mum was placed on the top table amongst the flowers. It meant so much to Jo that the team had done that.
We are sorry that we don't remember names by the lady who was on shift that night and in the morning (tall, dark hair) was exceptional and couldn't do enough for us and our guests. We appreciate we were up into the early hours upstairs just reliving the day and she went above and beyond for us.
Once again, thank you all for a truly magical day. Coombe Lodge has a special place in our hearts and we would love to re-visit (out of season of course) if we are able to.

We recently got married at coombe lodge and absolutely loved it, from the minute we first drove up the drive looking for a wedding venue, we just knew this would be it. The day itself was absolutely perfect, everything was organised and taken care of for us, Anita who looked after us on the day, made sure we had everything to hand, and even put a board of canapes together for us, as we didn't had time to grab any! The food was amazing, just incredible for all the meals! There we all were in the car park of our overnight accommodation in our night clothes. With the fire brigade in attendance it suddenly became obvious that the Bride (our daughter), Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, Paige Boy along with make up, hair and flower ladies, with myself and others were left with nowhere to get ready.
A panicked and stressed call was made to you. Your response was truly amazing, telling us to come straight to Coombe Lodge. You opened up all our bedrooms, including the Bridal Suite. To then lay on tea, coffee, hot croissants and Danish pastries was so thoughtful. Your kindness moved us to tears.
You quite literally saved the day.

Hello - This is just a quick note to say thank you so much for laying on Hannah and Dom's wedding last Saturday. The venue is beautiful and the service from Martha and all the team was absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble.

I can't believe it's a week since our wedding. We both wanted to send you a email to thank you so much for helping us create the best day ever. All of the team were amazing on the day and a special mention to Tom too who dealt with a few issues the next day. We had so many comments on how accommodating the staff were throughout the day.
Everyone also said that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding and we couldn't agree more, it was all delicious, even down to breakfast the following day.
We wish we could do it all again and that is hugely down to the fact that we chose Coombs Lodge, it is a very special venue!

Just a quick note to say thank you and the entire team at Coombe Lodge SO MUCH for our wedding on Friday.
The day ran so smoothly, exactly as I planned and we both had the best time. The venue is spectacular and you wouldn't believe the amount of guests who came up to us to say how impressed they were with it.
Both of you helped put my mind at ease throughout the planning stages and Tom you were an absolute star on the day, making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time, keeping Craig and me on top of everything at all times.
The props set-up was exactly what I had planned, if not better, and the music room looked absolutely incredible for both the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. We also loved that you moved the flowers and props into the breakfast room the following morning - that was such a lovely touch and allowed us to appreciate it all for just a few moments longer!
The accommodation was stunning, and thank you to whoever turned our room down at some point in the evening - that was really thoughtful.
We also wanted to thank the gentleman who served us at the breakfast in the morning - he was very patient whilst we were waiting for the last few guests to come down so we could take our seats!
And of course, thank you for the many, many emails we've exchanged, changing dates and timings. You always managed to put my mind right at ease and made a very stressful process a lot more manageable, so thank you.

The venue looked gorgeous as ever and everyone was so complimentary about how you had set it up! Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member whether it was moving our flowers to create an indoor backdrop, Anita volunteering to utilise the bouquets as additional décor, finding food for a last minute vegan guest who replaced someone who couldn't make it, making sure the bridal suite was tidy and perfect for us at the end of the night, the list goes on!! and of course just doing everything in such an organised and timely manner!!
We have also had so many compliments about the food! Everyone was so happy! I think it's the best salmon and cheesecake I've ever had! Please, please thank your incredible chef!!

Even though Covid restrictions were still lingering, you created a day for us that felt as normal and as fun as possible. Coombe Lodge looked gorgeous, the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. All of the guests commented on how great the day was and how wonderful the staff were. There was never a doubt in my mind I wasn't not getting married here... it was convincing my other half that I had to do. As you can imagine, it took no convincing at all! The venue speaks for itself; everything about it is beautiful. Every single person we dealt with from start to finish was amazing, and nothing was too much hassle. The food... We had the most prefect wedding day at Coombe Lodge. The staff were amazing, the food was the best we have ever had at a wedding (everyone commented on it) and the scenery and dressing of the venue was second to none. We were made to feel very welcome and while we sat and talked with the wedding planner we watched the staff set up for that day's wedding. The staff have everything organised to the last detail, they are very professional and nothing is too much trouble. Our wedding was in May this year and it was perfect, everything we imagined it to be and more. Tom and his team did everything on the day for us just as we had planned. Tom was so calm ajd helpful and just the best; I'll never be able to thank him enough for all his help, particularly his sewing skills!

We got married here on Saturday and it was absolutely perfect, in fact more than we ever could of dreamed of! Davy and his team worked tirelessly to ensure that the day ran perfectly and that we and all of our guests were catered for to the highest standard (and often beyond!). The venue was decorated beautifully with attention to detail in even the smallest of areas, Coombe Lodge is an absolute dream come true for any bride and groom and we will cherish the memories made here forever x
Our wedding at Coombe Lodge was a dream come true! It is a premium venue with stunning grounds, Michelin starred food and an amazing team to help make your day go without a hitch! I can't recommend Coombe Lodge highly enough, it is absolutely stunning and you can really make the venue your own. All of our guests said how much they loved the venue and the food! Our wedding day was freezing cold, but the lush roaring fire kept our guests toasty! Eric the events manager was in charge on our big day, he was great and put our minds at ease so we could get on with enjoying ourselves! Stunning bedrooms, and a yummy breakfast as husband and wife.
