Moor Hall Hotel and Spa

This stunning country house hotel, admired for its impressive wood carvings and stone work, is the ideal place to have your dream wedding, with everything you could wish for readily available on-site. The hotel is positioned at the end of an ancient tree lined drive, complete with a historic sunken garden and luxurious wedding facilities. The garden is filled with fragrant verbena and roses in the summer, whilst the open fires are lit in the winter months creating the perfect ambience.

The range of facilities within the hotel offer endless possibilities for your ideal wedding, choosing from a range of elegant rooms or even the option of an outdoor wedding in the extraordinary sunken garden.

History

In 1961 the house was purchased by Michael Webb and gradually developed into a hotel; compete with 83 bedrooms, two restaurants and a spa. Now the hotel is family run ensuring a personal experience is offered to every bride and groom. The family pride themselves on offering a flexible service and can cater for smaller intimate affairs or larger celebrations.

The Charter Suite

The Charter Suite provides an elegant and contemporary space to celebrate your wedding. This self-contained ground floor room has its own entrance directly from the carpark, ensuring total privacy. There is also a private bar and surrounding conservatory. Views from the suite stretch across the historic sunken garden and ancient trees.

The suite has a neutral colour scheme with chandeliers and luxurious furnishings. There's the perfect spot for a harpist, pianist of string quartet along with enough to room to accommodate all your guests comfortably.

The Oak Room Restaurant

The restaurant has scenic views stretching across the surrounding golf club, the perfect backdrop for your wedding reception.

Outdoor Ceremonies

Within the beautiful grounds you will find the historic sunken garden, which resides under a classical stone archway. In the summer the surrounding garden is bursting with verbena and roses. The area is shaded by trees making it private, hidden and magical, perfect for your wedding ceremony.

This team of enthusiastic chefs pride themselves on producing imaginative dishes using local ingredients and suppliers. The end result is a wedding breakfast that not only looks beautiful but tastes fantastic to! Using their menu selector you will be able to create your own unique menu for your wedding day. However, the talented team are also happy to recreate a particular dish that you might have in mind.

With 83 rooms on offer with fantastic facilities, this is the perfect venue for you and your guests to stay overnight. With rooms starting from standard singles to luxury four poster rooms, you will be spoiled for choice!

Moor Hall also offer additional extras such as a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates to add to your room to enhance your stay. The deluxe suites boast luxurious separate lounge areas, four poster beds and luxury toiletries - a perfect choice for your bridal suite.

Moor Hall has a brand new wedding preparation suite which is perfect for a pre-wedding sleepover. On the morning of your wedding you and your bridal party will have plenty of space to get ready with mirrors for everyone, perfect for hair and makeup. The wedding preparation suite sleeps up to four guests with an adjoining bedroom that sleeps a further two guests.

    In January 2017 we attended a wedding fayre at Moor Hall Hotel and I cried because I knew it was where we had to get married. The charter suite, the rooms, the grounds, the whole atmosphere was just perfect. We finally had our wedding day in September 2019 and we cannot put in to words how grateful we are for all of the staff at the hotel, they couldn't do enough for us, not only on the day but also during the build up to the day. If anything did go wrong on the day we did not find out about it, it was a relief that the staff were all so on the ball! We absolutely loved our day and wished we could do it all over again, we really wouldn't have changed a thing. Our family arranged an ice cream van as a suprise for us and the hotel also helped accommodate this and keep it secret from us!
    Thank you to all at Moor Hall for putting up with us. We will definitely be back soon and for our anniversary.

    Our decision was based on one main reason - the service of the staff. It was one of the first venues we visited and was set up beautifully for an wedding open day. We must have looked a bit lost as a member of staff asked if we needed help and we asked where the bridal suite was in relation to the main room. He then took it upon himself to give us a full tour of the hotel and answered our many questions. He gave us the history of the hotel and then after the tour he sat down with us and talked us through the various wedding packages. This exceptional service made a real impression on us and no other venue we looked at came close. Moor Hall is set in a stunning location and the sunken garden is breathtakingly beautiful. The room was large enough for a big wedding but could also host smaller weddings by using the partitioning doors.

    We liked the setting and loved the outdoor space. We knew we had to find a place that would work for lots of young kids, our friends and our older relatives. The Charter Suite was perfect for what we wanted and the amount of people we needed to have there. We also liked that the hotel already looked great and didn't really need decorating or any extra bits. We liked the people that worked there, people said hello to us as we were going round and Joanne who gave us the tour on the day was really lovely - I think this sealed the deal for us.

    Choosing Moor Hall Hotel & Spa was easy, as early on in our relationship we came for a spa day and we just loved it. As soon as we got engaged, Moor Hall was top of our list of venues. We attended the Wedding Open Day to see the beautiful Charter Suite where we met the really friendly and professional staff. This confirmed we wanted to book our wedding at Moor Hall. Also, the value for money was unbelievable! We opted for the all-inclusive silver package and could not have wished for any more, as the day was perfect. When we tell our friends and family the total cost they cannot believe everything that was included.
