New House was originally constructed in 1735 by Thomas Lewis, a member of the Lewis family, which had been known locally as wealthy land owners since the Tudor period.
Believed to have been intended as a hunting lodge, New House is now a Grade II listed building. It has been part of the Town and Country Collective of hotels since 1994.
The larger of the hotel's two indoor suites, the Wyndham comes with an attached bar and is perfect for accommodating larger parties for both ceremonies and receptions.

Ideal for more intimate gatherings, this room is perfect for smaller celebrations and retains a number of original Georgian features. A private patio terrace is attached.

New House's very own marquee can be set up within their stunning grounds, affording views across the valleys to Cardiff and able to accommodate weddings of any size. It comes with its own private bar, lounge, and terrace.

New House Country hotel's team of professional chefs are able to create wedding breakfast menus for all budgets, starting at £46.50 per person. They are also very willing and able to create bespoke menus specific to your tastes and desires, just ask!
With 37 on-site guest bedrooms, your guests will have no need to worrying about travelling elsewhere after a long night of celebrating. New House is also available for exclusive use if you wish, giving you and your guests the run of the house for your big day.

AddressWonderful hotel! Stayed for two nights as bridesmaid for my best friend's wedding. Enjoyed it so much my boyfriend and I extended our stay for an extra night. All hotel and event staff were excellent all weekend. Very friendly, helpful, chatty and nothing was too much. The food was amazing both for both the wedding and in the restaurant. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the Sunday Slumber deal is excellent value! Also. That view. Breath taking! Highly recommend and looking forward to visiting again in the future.
After having my wedding here at the marquee 17 November 2017. Gavin and I could not of wished for anything more perfect. The venue was outstanding all staff could not do enough...food was delicious, service was excellent. You were all amazing and made our day magical. One we will cherish forever. Thank you all for the memories we have from our special day.
Mr Banks and his lovely staff looked after us on the day of our daughter's wedding. The marquee is a beautiful space and the hotel has amazing views over Cardiff. Our room was just fantastic (Marquis) - would love to have had the opportunity to spend more time in it. The staff's care and attention to us all was superb. We had a fab day, thank you so much.
We had the most perfect day ever. Both the day itself and the build up was handled perfectly (even with the details to keep the babies and children happy on the day). The staff were patient when many details got changed and perfect with special eating arrangements we requested for some of the guests. Olly was the master of ceremonies on our wedding day and we've since had a number of guests come up to us complimenting how brilliant he was on the day, and the hotel's service to go with it. Such a lovely backdrop for our photos wherever we were in the hotel grounds. We had the best day as did all of our guests. We can't thank you enough.
We can not thank EVERYONE enough for making our day so perfect! Everyone was so helpful and made all of our guests feel so welcome. The venue was everything we could ask for and everyone commented on just how stunning it was! Our wedding reception meal was stunning again all of our guests commented on how beautiful the food was! We had one guest who we weren't aware was a vegetarian and staff were quick to organise a vegetarian meal for us! Thank you all so much!
