History
St Audries Park has a long history reaching back a thousand years to pre-Domesday times. Originally presided over by the prolific Norman landowner, William de Moyon, the estate went through many changes of ownership and appearance over its many centuries of existence.
The current St Audries House is thought to have been remodelled and modified to its present condition during the 18th and 19th centuries.
In more recent history, St Audries was home to Amitabha Buddhist Centre between 1990 and 2001, before being purchased by the renowned Country House Weddings group, who currently own and operate several other stunning wedding venues in the Southwest region, for instance Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire.
Today St Audries is a highly successful, Grade II-listed wedding venue, which quite often attracts brides and grooms from across the UK.
